
Dr. Diane Harris
Dr. Diane Harris is Assistant Dean of the College of Science and Engineering and Professor of Psychology at San Francisco State University. She is a faculty member of the Clinical and School Psychology Graduate concentrations and is the coordinator of the School Psychology concentration. Her research examines how family relationships and childhood experiences impact a child’s relationship to the development of eating patterns, self-image, and potential risk for obesity and/or eating disorders, particularly within communities of color. She is also engaged in scholarly work on culture, race, gender, and intersectionality. Additionally, Professor Harris is a licensed psychologist who offers private practice clinical services to adults, children, adolescents, and couples.
