Dr. Laura Mamo

Dr. Mamo is core-faculty in the Health Equity Institute at San Francisco State University. HEI is a cross-college research and service organization dedicated to advancing health equity and addressing intersectional health inequities. Mamo co-directs the science, technology, and society studies research Hub (STS Hub) at SF State where her research and teaching lie at the intersection of feminist studies of science and medicine; sociology of health and illness; gender, sexuality, and queer studies; and cultural studies.
