
Dr. Diane Harris
Professor of Psychology
Dr. Diane Harris is a Professor of Psychology at San Francisco State University. She is a faculty member of the Clinical and School Psychology Graduate concentrations, and is the coordinator of the School Psychology concentration. Her research examines how family relationships and childhood experiences impact a child’s relationship to the development of eating patterns, self-image, and potential risk for obesity and/or eating disorders, particularly within communities of color. She also is engaged in scholarly work related to culture, race, gender and intersectionality. Additionally, Professor Harris is a licensed psychologist and offers clinical services to adults, children, adolescents and couples in private practice.
